Month After

Photobucket

It's time for some high-energy aerobics AGAIN!
Today's class will be led by the Soul Man himself Taylor Hicks!!

Be sure to set your clock ... and check your pulse first!!!

The 2007 Liberty Bowl game begins at 3:30 CST ... but the real action begins ... when the whirling, twirling, soul-injected Taylor Hicks hits the stage at half-time!!

So today's the day to feed our Taylor addiction AND shed those Missing Taylor Blues!

UPDATE
Well ... ESPN did not air the half-time show ... so we did not get a chance yet to get our hearts pumping and pulse racing ... hoping and praying for video now!!
I'm especially looking forward to seeing the kids from St. Judes with Taylor!!!

Here is a short interview from Taylor at the Liberty Bowl ... he sounds great and looks wonderful!

Thank YOU!

And thanks to Ragsqueen here are a few photos from last night's President's Gala.

'Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house,
nothing would fit me, not even a blouse;
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste,
at the holiday parties had gone to my waist;

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber),
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared,
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared;

The wine and the rum balls; the bread and the cheese,
and the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt,
and prepared once again to do battle with dirt,
I said to myself, as only I can,
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"

So, away with the last of the sour cream dip.
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip.
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished,
'til all the additional ounces have vanished.

I won't have a cookie--not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.

I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore,
But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

Please pass the fudge!

I am sure that I am not alone when I say that I was so disappointed that they did not televise Taylor's performance. What the heck are they thinking, those sportscasters? Do they really think that the women had tuned in to watch the football?

Loved RagsQueen's pictures especially the one of the award that Taylor received! I bet she had an incredible evening being there. Loved the boot pic as well. I have no idea why but I do! Thanks to Taylorlovernmemphis. She too knows what we like to see!

This must have been quite an honour for Taylor to receive this award. It is a very nice looking award too and I am sure it will be added to his collection of memorabilia.

I think that this is just the beginning for Taylor! I have been on this Soul Train since beginning in 2006 and it seems to be speeding up! I am hanging on and looking forward to the 2008 ride! It seems that we are adding more and more cars to this train! Awesome!
