Just Want To Say

"My Friend" by Taylor Hicks
This entry is dedicated to all my crazy friends out there, and the
GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE!

When I was little,
I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
And then I started to become a woman.

And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up, God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend will meet your spiritual need,
Another your shoe fetish,
Another your love for movies,
Another will be with you in your season of confusion,
Another the wind beneath your wings,
Another will be your dancing partner.

But whatever their assignment in your life,
On whatever the occasion,
On whatever the day,
Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back,
Or to make all the arrangements for a ... road trip,
Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself ...
Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman,
But for many, it's wrapped up in several..
One from 7th grade,
One from high school,
Several from the college years,
a couple from old jobs,
On some days your mother,
On some days your neighbor,
On others, your sisters,
And on some days, your daughters.

But on most days it's our Soul Sisters!

So whether they've been your friend for 20 minutes, 20 years, or since Taylor Hicks' music brought you together ... the message never grows old ... a great friend IS the perfect accessory!

I so remember the first time I heard him intro that song by asking the audience if anyone had a crazy friend. Bloom, do you remember that we really got Taylor's attention that night by WHO we pointed to in unison???? I loved this blog, my friend!!!!

Great blog, Bloom and wonderful sentiments were expressed about the very "special" friends who enter our lives.

A big thank you to Taylor for bringing some very unique and caring "friends" into my life. While we not see each other very often or have never seen one another at all, we have definitely "shared many smiles"!

Love your search engine too, Bloom!

Thanks for a very special blog!

One week later ....

Donna of course you would be included in my circle of 'sisters'!
You are one of my 'sisters' that I haven't had the pleasure of actually meeting yet ... but I have high hopes that shall be remedied soon!
We have to get some hugs in ... in person!!

Hey there Darlin' ... I seem to recall several times that the same crazy friend got pointed to ... and I agree ... Taylor did not miss seeing us point or who we pointed to!
Some day soon hopefully, the 'Tapestry Sisters' shall be on the road together again!

Ah Karin, my hopes are that this next tour of Taylor's you will have the chance to meet many more of your 'sisters' ... and get a chance to hang with them like we recently did!!
You are the 'sister' who keeps me grounded every day, yet inspires me to try my wings ... thanks sis!

To my 1st anonymous poster, yes we know who you are and to whom you are speaking :-)
We love you too kiddo, you are the thread that binds our tapestry together!

To my 2nd anonymous poster ... lol ... you girls are making it tough for me to respond ... have you thought about using new nicknames??
We are waiting to hear that all is well with you my friend, hope you have been receiving all of the positive energy we have been sending your way ... your 'sisters' are worried about you! Please come home soon!
