In The Name Of Love

Photobucket

It is International Friendship Week
February 20th - 27th, a very fitting time to begin!

In the middle of the night you call to shed some tears.
We talk for hours on end as I help dispel your fears.

We laugh and tell some jokes, remembering days gone by,
we talk about our friendship and then you ask me why.

Why did you take my call when I know you were asleep?
I tell you it's because I have promises to keep

I promised I'd be there if you knocked upon my door,
or if you called me on the phone
cause that's what friends are for.

I value all your love, we've walked so many miles
you've stood by me in sorrow,
you've taught me how to smile.

So if you ever need me to comfort and console,
please know I'll always answer,
CAUSE THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR!

THERE IS NO DISTANCE TOO GREAT BETWEEN FRIENDS,
FOR LOVE GIVES WINGS TO THE HEART.

"Dance Myself To Sleep"

Sweet Dreams my friends!

Here is my response to 'Soul Butterflies', the following video is from an album from Blossomhead called Dream Beautiful.

A word from Blossomhead, aka Greg Reid.
"Over the past few years I've had to face more than most people probably face in their lifetime, from two major operations, cancer and the ravages of chemotherapy to very deep personal issues surrounding life, death and relationships and yet I still feel as though I am the luckiest man alive. There are not many people who get a second chance at being alive and the chance to face their death again. The first time I wasn't ready but the next I think I will be able to leave peacefully. So I guess you could say I'm a survivor who has been given a second chance to complete the things I have come here to do. One of those things is the making of this album. It has taken Seven years to complete and I think the wait has been worth while, I hope you do to. Dream Beautiful has a life of its own and I believe it will give joy to people and I could ask for no more."

~A BUTTERFLY BLESSING~
Lord, Bless me with the ability of a butterfly to endure the changes that will happen to me in my lifetime.

Help me to accept these changes with a positive and loving attitude.
Bless me with the beauty of a butterfly to allow me to reflect the colors of my soul, being and individuality, and to look for these things in others.

Bless me with the ability of a butterfly to create and instill the feeling of wonder, passion, and excitement towards all of your living creatures.

Bless me with the butterflies' ability to pollinate your flowers, so that I may cultivate your human garden with love and compassion.

Last, but not least, Lord, Bless me with the grace of ascension, so that I may ascend into your glorious heaven like a rising butterfly, when my journey here on earth, is complete.
Amen

Good Thoughts from MissP
Fear less, hope more;
Eat less, chew more;
Whine less, breathe more;
Talk less, say more;
Love more, and all good things will be yours!

The best place to find a helping hand is at
the end of your own arm!
Love me when I least deserve it,
because that is when I really need it!

Were we all sleeping ... cause that's what I was up to lol!

Sorry if it was me who messed up our connection tonight, we certainly need to get better syncronized ... but the reason for this page is someplace to go if we can't find each other.

This way everything won't get buried in a gazillion emails and anything either of you would like to add ...videos, poems, images, articles, links, etc ... we want it all here!

lol I know I'll be looking for 'soul butterflies' now!

I saw a photo last night with 3 butterflys, but they were on flowers, I'll need three flying!!

Bloom, beautiful page on a wonderful topic..."Friends". We have so many different kinds of friends in our lives and each one has a different purpose. Then, there are those "rare" and lifelong friendships that are the greatest treasures to hold close to our hearts.

I really loved the Butterfly video. It reminded me of something that I had forgotten. When I was "sick", I remember walking into the yard and looking at the garden as it was August at the time. Do you know that every time I went out there, there was at least one butterfly in the garden?

I remember thinking that those butterflies were a sign of good luck and better days would be ahead. Luckily for me, it turned out that way and new family members appeared on the scene as well.

Butterflies have always amazed me. They are so small and yet they beautify our gardens and they fly from place to place. How is it that a monarch butterfly can find its way from Canada to Mexico?

Life is so full of many mysteries that we will never really understand. I guess that we don't need to understand as long as we can appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Thinking of both of you! Hope you are having a nice weekend!

What strategy are you using to acomplish this goal?

I have a strategy I am going to use starting tomorrow. I really need to focus on this. I don't think I will make the March 1 date but I will be in the process of getting there.

I think that I am going to keep track of the number I use every day. Right now, it is 25/day. Each day, starting on Monday, I am going to decrease by 1 each day. I think I will couple that strategy by making the computer room a "no zone" so that will reduce the temptation.

I am determined to do this and support both of you.

Okay, girls, I sent you our new song "Feeling Good" - OUR mantra - FREEDOM! While this music may not be your cup of karma tea, the words fit this war! I sent you the song that fits this cause. Love the idea of a Butterfly Garden. There is actually a Butterfly Plant if I am not mistaken. The garden expert will have much more input to what you should put in the garden!

Thought I would drop by to listen to the theme song again!

Must tell you that it is not easy being in the "no zone" tonight, my friends!

I will go back to the main page and listen to the theme song to give me more inspiration!

So, it is 24 today!

It was wonderful that we all finally connected, who would have thought that it would have taken this long or been so difficult to co-ordinate?

MissP I need to know what growing zone you are in, but here are a few plants for your butterfly garden that are big attractions for butterflies!

Karin, there are several actual butterfly plants.
There is the Butterfly Weed, which is a succulent plant that has orange flowers and thrives in many places as a wildflower.

Then there are several varities of Butterfly Bushes (Buddelia) and they are available in white, yellow, purple, blue and pink.

Gooseneck Loosestrife is also really popular in my yard, it's flowers are white.

Milkweed which has pink flowers is a host for the caterpillars of Queens and Monarchs and the butterflies love it!

Pink Coneflower (Rudbeckia)birds, bumblebees and butterflies go crazy for this.

Lantanna comes in yellow and multi colors and also red, here it is an annual, but for you Miss P I think it might be a keeper.

Day lillies and oriental lillies are also popular, the main thing is lots of sun, butterflies can't see well in the shade.

Well that's about it for tonight, or rather this morning lol

Oh and Karen in Mexico, the last time I vacationed there I stayed in a villa named "Mariposa" which means butterfly.

KarinP said...

Just checking in.

Great to talk with both of you. Everyone make it through the night ok?

Now, as for the boots, Bloom ... I am thinking that those are definitely white! ROFL, don't think that they are what Ms. P. had in mind though.

Thanks for all of the gardening info. I didn't know that the butterflies didn't see well in the shade.

I do have Day Lillies. My mother has a butterfly bush - it is beautiful. I think that the Gooseneck Loosestrife is something that the City is trying to remove from one of our waterways but it is really pretty.

Thinking about the beauty of the flowers especially on a day like today is really nice. Can't wait to see the real things start to bloom. When that will be is anyone's guess.

Hope you have a great evening. The "No Zone" seems to have made it through today - can't guarantee tonight though.

Bloom said...

Well now you know why I have never worn them, been in my closet for years lol
The only reason I didn't return them was cause they are actually quite comfortable, figured some day I'd find 'something' I could wear with them ... yeah right :-)
I haven't worn cowboy boots or hat since the early eighties, guess I had better start lookin to replace them.

Karin I know that in some areas loosestrife is a problem, but it is usually the purple variety.
Though my white variety is pretty darn aggressive, I just love the look of it's curved shape!

Snow and cold here, it's to be a long time before anything resembling Spring arrives ... congrats Karin on maintaining the no zone!

MissP are you still speaking to your neighbors lol

KarinP said...

The "no zone" is a tough place to be especially late at night. I am doing my best though.

Boy, it is really, really cold here tonight!

Where is Spring?

Bloom said...

Okay my friend here is a little gift from me to keep you company in the no zone.
This is the most beautiful of songs, and has been my #1 favorite since I was about 20.
It's freezing here too, but it will be Spring before we know it.
Course we could always just hibernate, sounds really good to me!

KarinP said...

Thanks very much for the gift! It is a beautiful song and isn't he just so cute? How wonderful to see two of my favourite artists side by side on the same page.

Audrey Hepburn - she was always a favourite actress of mine. She was just gorgeous and she certainly had so much talent, a big heart and a beautiful smile.

It is 9 degrees here right now - the sun is shining though and I have to go out today. Freezing!

Spring will come, I do know that and I just hope it is going to be soon!

Hibernate - isn't that what we have been doing?

Hope you are having a great day and that you are staying warm too!

Have you actually "joined" the mission or are you still thinking about it? One thing that I have noticed is that I am really tired. I am not sure if this is related or not though.

I will just go and hibernate some more after I finish my errards!

Well, I felt a need to stop by to check out the new videos. Love the "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes?" video - yes, I do have an idea of some canadidates.

Love the other little video as well.

I have not been doing well in the no zone but I am hopeful that I will pick up right where I left off and get control of this nasty beast!

I hope everyone is doing well. We must send out those positive vibes to the Universe so that all will be okay with everyone we are concerned about.

I am thinking I would love a trip to Nashville ... perhaps early summer would be nice????

Keep in touch girls and let me know how you are progressing with the job at hand!

Hugs!
