Moondance

I do believe that Autumn has arrived, from 90 to 50 degrees seemingly overnight! It is my favorite season, and the reason I named my beautiful daughter, Autumn!

The October skies brought to mind one of my favorite Van Morrison songs that I would love Taylor to add to his set list or even better ... to record it!

Can't you just imagine Taylor's take on this song, there would be even more thudding than when he sings 'let's get it on'!

Van Morrison's "MOONDANCE"
Well it's a marvellous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
to the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft & low
You know the night's magic
Seems to whisper & hush
And all the soft moonlight
Seems to shine in your blush ....
Can I just have one a' more moondance
With you, my love?
Can I just make some more romance
With a' you, my love?
Well I wanna make love to you tonight
I can't wait till the morning has come
And I know the time is just right
And straight into my arms you will run
And when you come my heart will be waiting
To make sure that you're never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true dear
There and then I will make you my own
And everytime I touch you
You just tremble inside
And I know how much you want me
That, you can't hide ....

Ready for your moondance ???

Autumn - a season when the beauty of Nature's summer fades and the trees reflect a beautiful glow of brilliant colours. Then, we eagerly await for everything to be reborn after winter passes. I always find it so intriguing when I look at the colours. "Someone" knew what He was doing because if you take the time to scan the horizon, you notice how wonderfully all of the Autumn colours blend with one another. I just can't imagine pink, purple or black leaves on trees.

So my thought is that is a perfect time for Taylor to take a break and create some new music. I eagerly anticipate what his Autumn hiatus will bring us in the form of new songs. Hopefully when Spring unfolds her rebirth of everything we enjoy watching grow, we will once again revel in the beauty and enjoyment of listening to Taylor's new music.

The video you posted has some fabulous images in it. It would be interesting indeed to have Moondance "reborn" by some definite Taylorizing!

Do I hear a "thud" in the distance?

Welcome to my little pond, Leslie and Judy!!
It's a place I've created for relaxation and pondering, remembering and anticipating!
I am so pleased you enjoyed the 'view' and your Moondance!

Karin, your post fits in beautifully with your reflection on Autumn and the rebirth of Spring.

While I am throughly enjoying Autumn, I too anticipate what the Spring will bring in the way of 'new' music from Taylor.

That was a truly beautiful 'Right Place' from last night, thanks for finding it and sending it on to me.

Hi Bloom,

Two of my favorites. I have always loved 'Moondance' by Van the Man.....It is one of my very favorite songs of all time...Autumn has been my favorite time of the year. I remember running thru the leaves when a child, and loved all the hues of colors in the trees.

Autumn is a time for change, Spring is a time of rebirth. This song would so fit Taylor very well. So appropriate that he is taking his time off in Autumn to write and reflect and change, then come back in the Spring to a rebirth of new songs.

I love the video and the images and the other video is so breathtakingly beautiful and serene.

Bloom, you are so very talented and creative. Your blog is a place for relaxation and reflection. Thank you for inviting me. I will be visiting often.

Peace,
Mary Ann

Maryann it was my pleasure to extend an invitation to you to visit and sincerely hope you will visit often!
I needed another outlet besides the scrapbook where I could expound to my heart's delight about the things that matter to me.
I don't need to tell you how much Taylor's music matters to me and how much joy it has brought into my life.
My goal is to capture that joy and keep spreading it here for all to enjoy!
